We are proud to announce the addition of a new drug on our ambulances known as Naloxone or “Narcan”.  Naloxone will allow us to treat patients that have overdosed on opioid-based medications or drugs, such as Oxycodone or even heroin, by reversing the effects of the opioid.

Naloxone has found much popularity amongst law enforcement agencies as well as several EMS agencies in the state, and with this new medication, we will be able to bring a higher standard of care to our community.

Naloxone will be carried in both of our ambulances effective 8/1/2015.

The medication is being supplied through the NYC REMSCO and we thank them in enabling us to carry it on our ambulances.
